About Scott Haider

Attorney Scott Haider is dedicated to helping people who are facing serious health issues, financial uncertainty, and complex legal systems. When benefits are denied or injuries disrupt a person’s ability to work and live normally, Scott is relentless in his pursuit of fair outcomes.

Based in the Fargo office of Schneider Law Firm, Scott represents clients in Social Security Disability, long term disability, personal injury, and Minnesota workers’ compensation. His approach is practical, thorough, and focused on achieving meaningful results for the people he serves.

Advocating for Maximum Benefits

Scott understands that legal problems often arrive at the worst possible time. Clients turn to him when their health, income, or future is at risk. He is known for standing up to government agencies and insurance companies that place obstacles in the way of people who deserve help.

His practice is driven by a strong belief that no one should be left to navigate complicated systems alone, especially when their well being is on the line.

Experience Helping Everyday People

Scott has successfully represented hundreds of individuals in Social Security Disability cases, securing favorable decisions from Administrative Law Judges. When necessary, he has pursued appeals through federal district courts in North Dakota and Minnesota and represented clients before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He also advocates for clients whose long term disability benefits were unfairly denied or terminated, challenging insurers who refuse to honor valid claims. In addition, Scott represents individuals injured by the negligence of others in personal injury cases.

Education and Professional Background

Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Dakota in 2008 and went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

While in law school, he clerked at the Grand Forks office of Schneider Law Firm, gaining early hands on experience in disability and injury law.

He also:

  • Competed in moot court
  • Was a member of Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity
  • Participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program
  • Joined the Environmental Law Society and Energy Law Association

Scott also co authored a publication titled North Dakota Wind Energy Leasing Considerations, focusing on energy development and land use issues in the state.

Committed to Community

A native of Burlington, North Dakota, Scott has always valued community involvement and service. Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his wife and their three children, often attending youth sporting events or enjoying time at the lake.

Scott currently serves on the board of the West Fargo Hockey Association and previously served on the board of The Arc of Cass County, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through educational programs and community initiatives.

Client Success Stories

Workers’ Compensation Client

When my Minnesota workers’ compensation clain was denied, Mac was there to fight the insurance company and its attorneys. He was always one phone call away through the entire process and made sure I was treated fairly.

Elaine Brugge

I recommend this firm to anyone who needs help apply for SSDI! The staff (Ashley) and my lawyer (Kylie) were concerned for me after the hearing because I was not doing well, even though we won. The first question (after making sure they were talking to me) was if I was okay. It wasn’t to talk about the case; it was about me – a human being. It felt like I was always heard through the entire process when I was hired the firm. Both ladies were fully aware of my disabilities and knew how to talk to me so it wouldn’t be too overwhelming for me.
